The personal stories in reimagiNATION reflect a commitment to alternative values that was the hallmark of the ‘60s social and cultural revolution in America. Today – more than 40 years later – how does a new young generation view the world handed forth by the boomers of the ‘60s? What lessons about forging social change can the generations teach one another? These are the core questions that inspired reimagiNATION, which is designed to provoke debate and discussion.

Featuring a host of visionary thinkers and artists, including musicians Pete Seeger, Country Joe McDonald and Dar Williams, plus physicist Fritjof Capra, former SDS president Todd Gitlin, former Black Panther Jamal Joseph, nutrition activist Marion Nestle, futurist Peter Russell, conservative author David Horowitz and many others, reimagiNATION connects our turbulent past to a troubled present-day America. The film points the way through community-building to a hopeful future, where our ability as humans to transcend our differences meets the ideals we share as a nation.
